Subject: IRB LAW RULING (MAUL) AND DECISION
(DANGEROUS TACKLES)
Please find attached IRB Law
Ruling 3/2007 in relation to the Maul and an IRB Council Decision in regard to
dangerous tackle. Due to the timing of receipt of these matters form the
IRB, they have been held over until 2008.
Each of these is effective
immediately. The decision in relation to dangerous tackles will be
incorporated into the ARU Domestic Game Management Guidelines for
2008.
Please ensure that all relevant
groups and individuals in your area of responsibility are made aware of these
matters.
