19/07 | U8 AND U9 COACHES ARE OFF THE FIELD THIS WEEKEND

This weekend sees the pathway undertake its growth stage with all U8 and U9 coaches leaving their supportive roles on the field. From the weekend of the 24th July 2010, all coaches will remain behind the barrier, allowing their teams to undertake their first games of rugby "solo".

17/07 | Bushranger squads named for junior championships

The QJRU Xstrata Coal Country Muster last weekend has produced 90 players in three junior squads who will vie for the chance to become "Bushrangers" at the junior state championships in September. The three squads - in Under 13, U15 and U17 - have drawn players from Cairns, Mt Isa, Mackay, Central Highlands, Central Queensland, Bundaberg and Hervey Bay, areas which would otherwise not have been represented at the state championships.

01/07 | U12 WEST BLUE TRIUMPHANT IN DEVELOPMENT CARNIVAL

The 2010 Simon Abubakar U12 Skills Development Carnival contested on the weekend saw West Blue take out back to back titles. In a hotly contested carnival where all teams where very evenly balanced, West Blue narrowly defeated West Royal 14 - 5.
