BJRU COMPETITION TO CONTINUE UNDER CURRENT COVIDSAFE PLANS
Queensland Health issued an alert on the 23rd of August advising of two new COVID-19 cases, directly related to the juvenile centre in Wacol. Brisbane Junior Rugby Union can confirm that while further restrictions have been implemented in relation to gatherings in homes and public parks, our Competition will continue under the current Covidsafe Game Day Management plans already in place at each of our member Clubs, until a new directive is issued by Queensland Health, Q Sport & Queensland Rugby Union.
As of the 22nd of August, the the following Local Government Areas (LGAs) have been listed as restricted areas:
Community members are asked to remain alert but not alarmed as Queensland records nine new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Any individuals who were present at the locations at the relevant times listed at the link below, are asked to immediately self-quarantine and contact 13 HEALTH:
Additional location information in relation these cases will be provided via a Public Health Alert as soon as it is available at www.health.qld.gov.au/coronavirus
Anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19, even if they are mild, must get tested.
If you do not have a reason to be at a community Rugby training or game, it is preferred that you do not attend. If you do then please consider the following:

Preferably one spectator per player and/or remain in your car

Always practice good HYGIENE: Handwashing, sanitizing, covering coughs and sneezes appropriately.

Always SOCIAL DISTANCE: no contact, 1.5m between people

If you are unwell or symptomatic, STAY AT HOME & ISOLATE: Elevated temperature, sore throat, coughs and sneezes
