UNDER 11 TO UNDER 18 GIRLS RUGBY

Under 11 to Under 18 junior rugby girls players seated outside the playing ground

Gone are the days of little sisters sitting on the sidelines

watching their brother's play Rugby.

Girls sign on registrations throughout Brisbane

are continuing to increase with each rugby season.

The success of our Aussie 7s Women's Team (AU7s) has played a big part.

In 2022 we saw the AU7s win gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

They then flew over that try line again the same year to be named the

Champions in the World Rugby Sevens Series Circuit.

After Australia came out of Covid fear and felt safe to play Rugby again;

Our Wallaroo's competed at the 2022 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

This brought the spot light on Girls Rugby again and this time for XVs

...our grassroots girls.

History will be made in 2029 when for the first time

Australia will host the World Cup Women's Rugby!

Closely followed by the 2032 Olympic Games hosted in Brisbane.

These never before opportunities will see a host of

international women’s  teams visit Australia for XVs and 7s fixtures.

Australia will become the centre of the Rugby world over the next decade

and we have the upcoming AU7s and Wallaroos playing right now!

The BJRU provides the opportunity for Girls to participate

in a 10s and XVs competition in Term 2, and then followed by

a Girls only 7s Competition in Term 3.
